I’m not going to be gentle here. If you are serious about building an mlm/network marketing company, one of the keys to growing it is to LISTEN, and stop talking. I wrote extensively about this in one of my Hot Spot Videos (see the end of this blog to watch it). I’m just going to present my “video blog” as I wrote if for that video:
Building an Internet MLM or Network Marketing Business absolutely requires that you LISTEN and NOT TALK. The biggest turn off to any person is to come at them like a freight train, telling them what your business can do, telling them how great it is, telling them how they would be nuts not to join your business, telling them, in essence everything you THINK they want to know, NONE OF WHICH they could care about in the least!
Stop talking and LISTEN!
Why is it we do that? Well, this usually springs from someone getting excited about a network marketing business opportunity, and that passion, which is a great thing, takes over and they become MLM-MAN or MLM-WOMAN, and are going to take everyone on their shoulders and carry them off to the world of RICHES! So, what happens next? They find out that the word network marketing is WORK. Uh…the word is netWORK marketing, NOT: netTALK-AT-YOU-UNTIL-YOU-SEE-MY-VISION-AND-EITHER-JOIN-ME-OR-GO-AWAY-POOR-AND-LOST! Just saying… And my friend, not just work in the sense of effort, we are talking about work in the sense of
- Growing your people skills,
- Growing your copywriting skills,
- Growing your serving heart
- Growing your network marketing skills
- Growing your relationship skills
Growth inside of you so that you give value without a second thought, knowing that the Internet network marketing world of success is SO huge, is SO massive, is SO available for everyone, that giving away your knowledge is the best way to attract others to you because you are a leader and steward of GIVING BACK. It’s true – you reap 10 times what you sow.
What do you sow?
CARING, VALUE, LISTENING, ASKING QUESTIONS, A SINCERE WILLINGNESS TO HELP, TECHNICAL SKILLS TEACHING, RELATIONSHIP BUILDING SKILLS, PASSION, PERSISTENCE, BELIEF IN OTHERS, A LEARNING ATTITUDE, ENTHUSIASM, A NEVER-ENDING POSITIVE ATTITUDE, MARKETING RESEARCH AND KNOWLEDGE, MENTORSHIP and anything else that puts the emphasis on someone else you are helping.
What do you reap?
In order of importance: THE GRATITUDE OF THOSE YOU HELP, HAPPINESS AT OTHER’S SUCCESS, THE JOY OF KNOWING YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE’S LIFE, EXCITEMENT OF MOMENTUM FOR EVERYONE IN YOUR BUSINESS, MORE KNOWLEDGE ON HOW TO DO ANYTHING RELATED TO NETWORK MARKETING, CONFIDENCE, and down the list will come the reward you seek: RESIDUAL INCOME which yields FINANCIAL FREEDOM, TIME (to do more of what you dreamed of and THE ABILITY TO CREATE YOUR VISION OF YOUR FUTURE =”MORE STUFF” (as the late great George Carlin would say). “More Stuff” will mean something difference enough. you can do whatever you like. It’s that good! The point is if the residual income is big enough, your choices become endless.
That success of financial freedom is simply a by-product of your honest efforts to help others. There is a keen sense of symmetry and positive “karma” in that, don’t you think?
